Xjournal Magazine Vol.6
Editorial Design

As one of the lead designers for XJournal (student-led annual art magazine at Knox College) that year, I explored the long-standing tradition of featuring the letter X in an abstract form on the cover.
I began by experimenting with various elements in Illustrator, pushing visual boundaries to create a layered, expressive “X” artwork.
Working closely with our advisor and the rest of the design team, we reviewed multiple compositions and collectively chose a specific section of the artwork that felt bold yet balanced.
That refined fragment became the final cover — a collaborative result blending personal experimentation and team-driven decision-making.
