Starting Question/Exploration :
- How can the letter "X" evolve visually while maintaining balance, boldness, and cohesion with the magazine's theme?
- How do color interactions, layering, and spatial relationships create a dynamic, expressive visual language that reflects the identity and spirit of XJournal Volume 7?
Process & Experimentation :
- Explored multiple abstract interpretations of the "X" in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experimented with a triple-color approach, including overlapping red and blue elements, to create a glitchy, dynamic effect.
- Built layered compositions, testing scale, placement, and transparency to push the visual language forward.
- Reviewed iterations with the design team and advisor, analyzing which fragments conveyed boldness, balance, and visual tension.
